The Lockerstor Gen3 series is ASUSTOR’s fastest NAS ever! The combination of AMD’s Ryzen Embedded SoC, M.2 SSDs using PCIe 4.0, USB4, and dual 10GbE to ensure everything you want to do with your NAS is nothing short of extremely fast. With four M.2 slots for NVMe SSDs and up to ten bays for HDDs, the Lockerstor Gen3 series ensure that you get the best of both speed and capacity.

AMD’s Ryzen Embedded SoCs are so efficient, that they bring both energy savings and uncompromised desktop-class performance. Four cores at up to 3.8 GHz helps you transfer, store, create and more at unbelievable efficiency.

Server-grade ECC memory
ECC memory is memory usually used in servers for detection and correction of the most common kinds of data corruption. This can help prevent data loss due to electromagnetic interference or crashes, making the NAS the Lockerstor 16R pro our most stable NAS ever.

PCI Express 4.0 Brings Doubled Performance
The Lockerstor Gen3 series is equipped with four M.2 slots for NVMe SSDs. These newly upgraded M.2 slots now support the PCI Express 4.0 bus which doubles the performance over PCI Express 3.0. ADM supports both caching and storage for faster random I/O performance done your way.

USB4 is More Than Just Storage
The Lockerstor Gen3 is equipped with two high-speed USB4 ports, offering ultra-fast speeds of up to 40 Gbps. The USB4 ports are compatible with Thunderbolt 3/4 devices, allowing you to transfer, store, archive, and back up faster than ever.
When connecting two ASUSTOR NAS units using the USB4 ports, fast data transfers, synchronizations, and backups can be achieved without using the network ports. Paired with features like DataSync Center and SMB Backup, this can help significantly reduce back up time.

The Hottest NAS Ever is also the Coolest
With all these features packed into a small footprint, the Lockerstor Gen3 series and the installed AMD Ryzen Embedded SoCs require the best cooling solution. The heat dissipation solution in the Lockerstor Gen3 uses heat pipes and fins to dissipate waste heat from the CPU, enabling the Lockerstor Gen3 to chew through virtually any storage task you throw at it.
